City Clerk

The City Clerk’s office provides services that connect citizens to their government and maintains the recorded history of city government action; it provides administrative support to the City Council and maintains custody of the minutes, resolutions, ordinances and other official records of the City.  

The City Clerk serves as the official record custodian of city records and is responsible for compliance of the Kansas Open Records Act by providing information and copies of official city records for staff and citizens.

The office also processes special assessments, maintains the City Code Book, issues business and special event licenses, bills and collects utility payments and other revenues.  Rental of city facilities, cemetery records, personnel, payroll, accounts payable as well as a variety of other duties go through this office.
